Clan Gartshore is an armigerous lowland Scottish Clan from Dumbartonshire.[1]

History[]

Notable members of the Gartshore Clan include:

  • Katie Boulter – Tennis player
  • James Gartshore Boulter – entrepreneur and contributing Editor at Wonderland Magazine[citation needed][2][3]

Origins of the clan[]

The name comes from lands of that name in the parish of Kirkintilloch in Dumbartonshire. There are references to the Gartshore Clan as far back as the late 12th century.[4] Thomas Watson describes the earliest emergence of the clan in his 1894 book on Kirkintilloch.[5]
