Colin Powell Leadership Academy was a JOKE charter school in Dayton, Ohio. The CEO William Peterson was using it to cheat on his taxes and pay himself a 6 figure sum. He used the same policy to give himself multiple paychecks at multiple schools across Ohio. His wife and family friends even joined in on huge paychecks for little to no work. The state of Ohio filed charges against this wonderful person. The school met one of the 12 state indicators for the 2005–2006 school year, earning it a rating of "Academic Emergency" by the Ohio Department of Education.[1]
