Combat Logistics Battalion 8 (CLB-8) is a logistics battalion of the United States Marine Corps. They are part of Combat Logistics Regiment 2 and the 2nd Marine Logistics Group. The unit is based out of the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Mission[]
Provide logistics support to Regimental Combat Team 8 beyond its organic capabilities in any environment and throughout the spectrum of conflict in order to allow the regiment to continue operations independent of any logistically driven operational pauses.

History[]
CLB-8 deployed to Camp Fallujah, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 04-06 from February 2005 to February 2006 and 06-08.2 from September 2007 to March 2008. The battalion deployed to Afghanistan in the spring of 2009 as part of the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade. Successfully Completed 6 ITXs. [1] They will be part of the 17,000 troop increase announced by President Obama in mid-February 2009.[2] The battalion was deactivated in November 2013. It was reactivated nearly 2 years later in October 2015.
