Location

Cossonay-Penthalaz railway station (French: Gare de Cossonay-Penthalaz) is a railway station in the municipality of Penthalaz, in the Swiss canton of Vaud. It is an intermediate stop on multiple standard gauge lines of Swiss Federal Railways. The station is adjacent to the valley station of the Cossonay–Gare–Ville funicular.[1]

As of the December 2020 timetable change, the following services stop at Cossonay-Penthalaz:[5]

  • RER Vaud:
    • S1: hourly service between Grandson and Lausanne.
    • S2/S5: half-hourly service to Aigle and hourly service to Vallorbe and Grandson; limited service from Aigle to St-Maurice.
    • S22: rush-hour service between Lausanne and via Vallorbe.
