Cracked : Putting Broken Lives Together Again (ISBN 0-06-009655-1)[1] is Dr. Drew Pinsky's account based on the lives of addicted patients seen for drug rehabilitation at in Southern California.

Pinsky, the host of the radio show Loveline, has dedicated his life to improving the lives of addicts and people of all ages in need.

Through his book, he has shown common challenges faced by addicts going through drug rehabilitation. By basing characters on composites of many addicts, Pinsky encapsulates what drug rehabilitation and addiction is like at the core.

Certain characters, the addicts he is treating, are named Amber, Esther, and Hector.
