Cubix Robots for Everyone: Showdown is a 2002 action-adventure role-playing video game released by Blitz Games. The game is based on the Cubix: Robots for Everyone television series. It is developed by Blitz Games, produced by 4Kids Entertainment, Daewon Media, and Cinepix and published by The 3DO Company.[1][3]
Gameplay[]
Cubix Robots for Everyone: Showdown features three gameplay modes including story, battle, and puzzle.[4] The player can transform Cubix into a variety of vehicles[4] The battles take place in turn-based combat environments, and for each battle that is won the player can add a robot to his collection, which can be used in future fights.[4] The game features five mini-games along the lines of Mario Party.[4][5] Much like Pokémon, the game features exploration aspects, much like in a traditional adventure game, where the player interacts with various characters.[6] In the beginning of the game the player can choose to play as either Abby, one of the characters from the show or her best friend Connor.[5]
Plot[]
Robots all over Bubble town have gone berserk. It is up to the player to take hold of the Cubix gang and track down the mischievous robots.[4]
Development[]
The game was originally supposed to be released in fall 2002 but instead was released in June 2003.[6]
