The Cupra Tavascan is an electric concept SUV produced by the Spanish manufacturer SEAT, under the new sub brand Cupra. It was officially unveiled on 4 September 2019, this being at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.[1] The vehicle was confirmed for production in March 2021, for an estimated release date in 2024.[2]

Cupra Tavascan

The Tavascan is based on the MEB Platform, which is designed for electric vehicles of the Volkswagen Group, of which the Volkswagen ID.3 is the first production vehicle to use it. The sport utility vehicles receives two electric motors placed on the axles, allowing to obtain an all wheel drive and providing a cumulative power of 225 kW (302 hp).[3]

The Tavascan’s battery has the capacity of 77 kWh (280 MJ) providing a range of 450 km (280 mi).[4]
