Daniel Solomon Dines (born January 1972) is a Romanian entrepreneur, and the co-founder and CEO of UiPath, a robotic process automation platform. According to Forbes, his net worth is about $8.3 billion.[1] He is nicknamed Boss of the Bots, becoming the first bot billionaire.[2]

As of December 3, 2020, Dines was listed as the wealthiest person in Romania, with an estimated net worth of $8.3 billion.[3]

Early life[]

Dines' father was an engineer and his mother a teacher.[4]

Career[]

Dines worked for Microsoft in Seattle, Washington, US, from 2000 to 2005. He later returned to Romania.[5] Dines started DeskOver in 2005 in Bucharest, Romania. He later renamed it UiPath and moved its headquarters to New York City in 2018.[1]

He stated that he wanted UiPath to be a kind of Google or Facebook in Romania.[5]

Philanthropy[]

In April 2019, Dines donated €1 million to help rebuild Notre-Dame.[6]
