Daniel Munday (born 7 March 1985) is an Australian former basketball player.

Career[]

Born in Karratha, Western Australia, Munday grew up in and around Perth. He graduated from Willetton Senior High School in 2002 and made his debut in the State Basketball League (SBL) in 2001 for the Mandurah Magic.[1]

In 2004, Munday moved to the United States to play college basketball for the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. He played one season for Green Bay before transferring to Ouachita Baptist University, where he played from 2005 to 2008. In 2009, he moved to New Zealand and joined the Harbour Heat. With the Heat, he started every match and averaged just under eight points a game. The following year, he joined the Southland Sharks for their inaugural season in the New Zealand NBL.[2]

In 2016, Munday played basketball competitively for the first time since 2010, joining the Mandurah Magic.[3] He re-joined the Magic for the 2017 season.[4]

Munday has an Australian father, Greg, and a Kiwi mother, Sheryl.[2] He also has a brother named Nicholas. He is married to Vilonia, Arkansas native, Emily Matthews.[1]
