Club career[]

A Valencia CF youth graduate, Forniés was born in Elche, Alicante and made his senior debut with the reserves in 2010, in Tercera División. In 2011 he moved to another reserve team, Real Zaragoza B in Segunda División B.[1]

In 2013, after Zaragoza's relegation to the fourth tier, Forniés joined Getafe CF B in the third division.[2] On 10 July 2014 he agreed to a two-year contract with Segunda División side AD Alcorcón,[3] but cut ties with the club on 20 August.[4]

Forniés returned to the third level on 22 August 2014, after signing for Lleida Esportiu.[5] He continued to appear in the category in the following years, representing CE Sabadell FC[6] Cultural Leonesa,[7] Real Murcia[8] and FC Cartagena;[9] he achieved promotions to the second division with Cultural and Cartagena, in 2017 and 2020, respectively.

Forniés made his professional debut at the age of 29 on 13 September 2020, starting in a 0–0 away draw against Real Oviedo.[10] He scored his first professional goal the following 7 March, but in a 1–2 loss at RCD Mallorca.

On 1 August 2021, after helping Cartagena to avoid relegation, Forniés returned to Alkor after agreeing to a one-year contract.[11]
