David Hazony
David Yair Hazony (born 1969) is an American-born Israeli writer,[1] translator, and editor. He was the founding editor of The Tower Magazine from 2013 to 2017,[2] and from 2017-2020 served as executive director of the Israel Innovation Fund.
Career[]
Hazony studied at Columbia University, received a B.A. and M.A. from Yeshiva University, and completed his Ph.D. at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Hazony has written for the New Republic,[3] CNN.com,[4] The Forward,[5] Commentary,[6] Moment,[7] The Jerusalem Post, the Jewish Chronicle, the New York Sun, Jewish Ideas Daily,[8] and has appeared on CNN,[9] MSNBC,[10] and Fox News.[11]
He was a fellow at the Shalem Center in Jerusalem, founded by his older brother Yoram Hazony,[12] until 2007. In 2004–2007, he served as editor in chief of Azure, its quarterly.[13]
