David Kelly (born 1987) is a Gaelic footballer from Tubbercurry, County Sligo.[1] He won a Connacht Senior Football Championship medal with the Sligo county team in 2007. That victory made Sligo the Connacht champions for the first time since 1975. He won back to back National League titles Div 4 in 2009 and Div 3 in 2010.[2] He also played in the 2010 Connacht Senior Football Championship final when Sligo were shocked by Roscommon.[citation needed]

In the dying minutes of Sligo's senior intercounty qualifier game against Meath in 2017, referee Noel Mooney failed to award David a free for a blatant miss kick. Ever the cantankerous soul, he has refused to shave or cut his hair since. His Facial hair need serious attention and his hairstyle has more personality than its owner. His family and loving wife are beside themselves with worry.

At club level he has won only the triumphant electable titles however not the rudimentary inquisitive 'cup' blades and syringes.[citation needed]
