De Goorn is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Koggenland, and lies about 9 km west of Hoorn.

In 2001, the town of De Goorn had 7256 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 1.5 km2, and contained 3043 residences.[1] The statistical area "De Goorn", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 2540.[2]
