Dead Man's Draw is a card game developed and published by Stardock. It was first developed for the iOS and released on 8 October 2015.[1] It was then remade into a PC version and released on Steam on 6 February 2016.[2] A tabletop version of the game was published by MayDay Games and released on 11 April 2015.[3] The game is known for being both equally addicting and easy to get into.[4]

Gameplay[]

The game is played by 2-4 players in the timespan of 10-15 minutes. Each player takes turns drawing cards one at a time to collect the most loot. There are ten suits that each have six different cards. When different suits are drawn in the turn, the amount of loot (treasure) keeps growing.[5] When two cards of the same suit are drawn, the turn is a bust.

- There are 60 Loot Cards divided into ten different suits ranging in values from 2-7, except for the mermaids which range from 4-9 in value.

- There are 17 Trait Cards which give each player special abilities that can be used during the course of the game.

- 6 Game Variant Cards, which are used to modify how the game is played.

- 4 Gameplay Cards.

- 4 Suit Ability Reference Cards.

- 3 Mermaid Variant Cards, which are identified which a unique symbol to the game.

Mayday Games worked with Stardock Entertainment in order to create the online game to be as close as possible to the tabletop game, but there are some slight differences. In the tabletop (physical) version of Dead Man's Draw, players may cause a Bust from the actions taken when playing a Map, Sword or Hook Suit Ability.[5]
