The second drawing, to the right of the first one, depicts the flower with a partially deleted perianth, its petals form a cup-like shape. The drawing numbered three is the stamen of the plant, which appears as a seed-like structure with small fibers on top of it. Next to it is the drawing of the gynoecium with one carpel, and to its right is a gynoecium with two carpels. Under the first image of the branch, there is an illustration of an unripe fruit of Degeneria vitiensis, while at its left there is a larger, ripe bean-shaped fruit. To its upside is Haptoncus takhtajani beetle, which pollinates the plant.
