Denis & Denis is a Croatian electropop music band from Rijeka, founded in 1982. The band released four studio albums: Čuvaj se! (1984), Ja sam lažljiva (1985), Budi tu (1988) and Restart (2013). They were one of the most popular groups in Yugoslavia.[1] They disbanded in 1988 after releasing their third studio album Budi tu , but reunited in 2012.

After the musical group Vrijeme i Zemlja disbanded in the early 1980s, Davor Tolja (born 1957) started the group Toljina Funk-selekcija with which he played on Ri-rock. The group consisted of two members: himself and Marina Perazić. In 1982, they renamed the group to Denis & Denis.[2] Marina previously sang in the choir Jeka Primorja while studying at university, where she was also a member of the multi-media group Sigma Tau.[3]

The group Denis & Denis soon achieved success, to which demo effect recordings and Perazić's voice contributed the most. They reached all major radio stations in former Yugoslavia almost overnight. The first concert they had was at the end of 1982 in Rijeka's Dvorana Mladosti as an opening act for the band Boa, soon reaching greater media appearance in 1983. In 1983 they released their first album, Čuvaj se! (Watch Out!) with the lead single "Program tvog kompjutera" (The Program of Your Computer) and the B-side single "Noć" (Night). The album Čuvaj se! was ranked as the best album of 1984 by the magazine Rock, rated by the foreign public. List of people contributed to the recording of the album includes Massimo Savić (electric guitar), Zoran Prodanović (vocal) and Edi Kraljić (vocal), while the producers were Davor Tolja and Andrej Baša.
