Denver Jay Hume (born 11 August 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Portsmouth.

Career[]

Born in Ashington,[2] Hume joined at Sunderland's academy at the age of 10,[3] and made his debut for Sunderland in the final match of the 2017–18 season as a second-half substitute in a 3–0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.[4][5] He scored his first goal for Sunderland on 11 January 2020 in a 4–0 victory over Wycombe Wanderers.[6][7]

On 26 January 2022, Hume joined EFL League One side Portsmouth for an undisclosed fee and signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the option of an additional 12 months.[8]
