Dera Natung Government College, Itanagar, is an institute of higher education in Arunachal Pradesh, India. It was established in 1979 and later affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University (earlier known as Arunachal University).[1]
Housed in the Government Higher Secondary School Building, it began its educational pursuits in the evening shift with four one-man departments of English, Hindi, Economics and History and with a handful of students. It shifted to its own building complex on its permanent site in 1986. In 2005, the college received NAAC Accreditation Grade of B+.[citation needed]

The college is located centrally in the Vivek Vihar sector of the town; it has an area of 80 acres (320,000 m2). Since its inception it had been imparting education with day and night shifts till 1990, when the night shift was abolished.[citation needed]
The college is connected by road with the rest of the country by the National Highway No.52 A through Banderdewa check post. The nearest railway station is Naharlagun, at a distance of 30;km. and the airport is Lilabari at a distance of 75 km.[citation needed]
