Dhokal Singh Basnyat (or "Dhaukal") served as the governor of the Kumaon and Garhwal divisions of Uttarakhand state in India. He is the youngest son of Senapati[1] Shivaram Singh Basnyat and was the first owner of Narayanhiti Palace.[2]
