Dick Ho: Asian Male Porn Star is a 2004 documentary film directed by ,[1] that explores the supposed existence of an adult film actor named Dick Ho during the 1970s, which is considered to be the golden age of the adult film industry. The lore of the film emphasizes the fact that he's Asian, commenting on the lack or absence of Asian male heterosexuality in mainstream American porn. Revelations of his life, and the controversy surrounding it, are presented through rare film footage and interviews with actual porn stars of the era. The film can be mistaken as a mockumentary, though it is not.
Its screening history includes: the 4th S.F. Sex Worker Film & Arts Festival (BAYSWAN), 24th San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival, SinCine Erotic Film Fest, Cinekink NYC & tour, 1st Disorient Film Festival of Oregon, L.A. VC FilmFest, 5th Asian Film Festival of Dallas, 9th APAture festival, Bindlestiff Film Festival, Chicago Asian American Showcase, Northwest Asian American Film Fest, San Diego Asian Film Festival, and the L.A. Erotica Film Fest ’07.
Synopsis[]
This documentary about the 1970s porn legend attempts to verify his existence as there are practically no Asian male Pornographic Film Actors in the history of American adult cinema. A controversial mystery akin to Bigfoot and alien abduction, Dick Ho had allegedly so large-sized genitals that a conspiracy theory gave rise to a porn industry's plot to eliminate any knowledge of his existence. Includes alleged film footage and testimonials from porn veterans.
