Dil-e-Momin (Urdu: دلِ مومن, lit.'Heart of a Believer') is a 2021 Pakistani drama television series, produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi under their banner 7th Sky Entertainment, written by Jahanzeb Qamar and directed by Shehrzade Sheikh. It features Faysal Qureshi, Momal Sheikh and Madiha Imam in lead roles. It first aired on 12 November 2021 on Har Pal Geo.[1][2]

Plot[]

Momin proves to be an inspiration for everyone in his neighbourhood for his pious lifestyle and empathy. Just when he meets a rewarding opportunity in his career, he also comes across a rebellious student, Maya. Drawn to his distant behavior, Maya's infatuation leads to obsession as she begins the chase despite their obvious incompatibility. However, Momin's heart belongs to his childhood sweetheart and cousin, Ashi, who is just as graceful. Momin and Ashi's pure love is put to test when her father expresses his disinterest in marrying off his daughter to Momin over an earlier grudge.

Least impressed with Momin's unique charm, Jameel finalises talks for Ashi's marriage with a wealthy young man, Fakhar. While Ashi refuses any advancement from Fakhar, Momin, too, awaits God's mercy. But Maya's obsession makes it challenging for Momin to protect his reputation and integrity, especially when Maya's admirers are also out to hurt him.[3]

Soundtrack[]

The original soundtrack of Dil-e-Momin is sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, penned by Qamar Nashad and composed by Naveed Nashad.[7]

Production[]

In June 2021, it reported that Faysal Qureshi, Zara Noor Abbas and Moomal Sheikh paired up for Dil-e-Momin.[8] In same month, Abbas revealed on her Instagram account that she has dropped out of the series due to some personal reasons.[9] Later, Imam replaced her in the character of Maya, thus marked her fourth appearance opposite Qureshi after Zakham (2017), Baba Jani (2018) and Muqaddar (2020).[7][2] The first teaser of the series was released on 22 October 2021.[7]
