Dinah Newey is a female former international table tennis player from England.[1]

Table tennis career[]

She represented England as part of the women's team for the 1936 Corbillon Cup (women's world team event). The team consisting of Lillian Hutchings, Margaret Osborne, Wendy Woodhead finished in equal fifth place.[2][3]

She represented Birmingham at club level[4] and reached the last 16 of the women's doubles during the 1935 and 1936 World Championships.[5]

Personal life[]

She married Gilbert Smith in 1939.
