Dinner in America is a 2020 American coming of age dark comedy film written and directed by Adam Rehmeier. It stars Kyle Gallner, Emily Skeggs, Brittany Sheets, Pat Healy, Griffin Gluck, Lea Thompson, and Mary Lynn Rajskub. The plot follows a punk rock singer seeking an escape and a young woman obsessed with his band who unexpectedly cross paths and begin a journey together across America's vast deteriorating suburbs. Filmed in Detroit, Michigan, the film premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.

On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film is 'Certified Fresh' and holds an approval rating of 94% based on 63 critic reviews, with an average rating of 8.1/10. The site's critics consensus reads, "Rounded out by a pair of satisfying performances, Dinner in America is a coming-of-age rom-com with infectious punk rock energy."[2]

After its premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, Dinner in America has been met with critical acclaim. Lorry Kikta of Film Threat praised the script and the performances from the entire cast, "The performances are fantastic from everyone in the film, no matter how little screen time the character has. The script from writer/director Adam Rehmeier is hilarious and ingenious."[3] Dennis Harvey of Variety called the film "surreal" and described Gallner's portrayal as "a knockout lead performance."[4]
