Domitille Degalle, known by her stage name DOMi, is a French keyboardist, composer, and producer. She is one half of the jazz duo DOMi & JD Beck.[1]

Biography[]

Born in Nancy, France, DOMi started playing piano and drums at age 3. Her experience in the traditional education system was limited to one week in kindergarten, after which she attended the Nancy Conservatory. After graduating, she briefly attended the Conservatoire de Paris, then moved to the United States to attend the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts under a full Presidential Scholarship.[2][3]

During DOMi's attendance at Berklee College, she began posting videos of her musical performances on multiple social networks. This earned her the attention of several prominent jazz and hip-hop musicians, such as Anderson .Paak, Louis Cole and Thundercat who have involved her in several music projects and performances.[2][4]

DOMi met drummer JD Beck at the 2018 Namm show, and the two began performing as a duo.[5][6]
