After Dot sings a Hanukkah song with her mom and a Christmas song with her dad, she encounters her music teacher Ms. Randi who reminds her about the upcoming holiday concert. Dot agrees to be Song Leader to help her write a new song for the kids' choir, of which Hal and Ruby are also a member. When Mr. C reminds Dot that some people celebrate other holidays like Kwanzaa or Solstice or nothing at all, she decides to do a "Christma-festi-kwanzikkuh" song about all the holidays. Hal suggests the inclusion of bells because he sings Jingle Bells with his family while caroling. Ruby suggests fire as it sets the mood for her reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas, which she reads every year. Nev and Dev make gingerbread houses for each other. Nana likes Christmas crafts, and Mr. Sherman likes taking his blonde grandkids to see Santa. Dot's grandpa likes to play dreidel with his friend Hershel. Piano, recorder and tambourine are used while Nev, Dev and Dot sing arpeggio. The community center gets snowed in, so they invite friends from the block to the C house, and broadcast the song via camera online. At the end of their song, they say "Merry Christmas," "Happy Hanukkah," and "Joyous Kwanzaa" to them.

Dot, Hal and Ruby arrive at the twins' house to watch their fish circus. Nev and Dev and their father Ev answer the door with sad faces. They inform the guests that Ogopogo has died. Dot tries to cheer them up but ends up triggering them with her words ("turn that smile upside down", they found her floating upside down) and actions (pogo-sticking is what inspired Nev's choice of name). Mrs. C suggests they help them remember the good times, so the older trio make a home movie for the twins, acting out how they won her at a circus and interviewing the fishbowl toy "Dusty the Diver" (Dev corrects "Reporter Ruby", saying the diver's name was Shirley) who lived with her. The twins burst into tears but smile, Dev reflecting how "Oggy" ate the green flakes (which he says tasted good) and Nev how "Oggy" avoided the orange ones (which she says tasted bad) first. The twins then come over to Dot's to visit as she logs off.

They find the building difficult, and so decide to recruit more people to assist, with the help of an email written by Dot's mom. Rangeroo Leader Kerry sees their message and comes to help; she decides their effort is 'badge-worthy' and gives Dot and Hal their badges.

Reception[]
Dot. currently holds a 7.6/10 on IMDB from 22 reviews.[74] It got a 5/5 on Common Sense Media, quoting:
"Parents need to know that Dot. is based on a picture book by Randi Zuckerberg and centers on a curious 8-year-old who uses technology, math, and science concepts to learn new things, but it's never at the expense of real-world experiences and the people she cares about. For Dot and her family, it's all about balance, so much attention is given to the times when she acknowledges she's ready to unplug. The show sets out to expose kids -- and girls in particular -- to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts in an inviting, age-appropriate way through the likable, self-confident titular character. As a bonus, it presents Dot's parents as her role models and educator, and her friends as positive influences in her life."[75]
Media information[]
An HTML game called Dot's Rangeroo Scavenger Hunt is available on Kids' CBC and Universal Kids's websites.[when?] Another game, inspired by Atari's earliest arcade game Pong, Make a Game with Dot, is available on the Universal Kids website as well. An app, inspired by Wikipedia, Dotopedia, for Android and iOS devices was also released on December 12, 2016.
