Doug Clark is an American politician who served as mayor of Littleton, Colorado from 2007 until 2011. Doug Clark is running for county commissioner for District 1 of Arapahoe County.[1]

Early life[]

Doug Clark graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy in 1977. Clark has worked as a software developer and business consultant.

Political career[]

Doug Clark began his political career when he was elected to the City Council of Littleton in 1995. Clark served on Littleton City Council for a total of ten years. From 2007 to 2011, Doug Clark served as Mayor of Littleton, Colorado. As Mayor Clark represented Littleton on the Metro Mayors Cacus as well as serving on the Denver Regional Council of Governments, , and the Riverfront Authority. During Clark's tenure as mayor, Littleton was named the best city in America in which to raise children by Bloomberg Businessweek.[2] Mayor Clark announced that he would not seek reelection as Mayor of Littleton in August 2011.[3]
