In Hindu mythology, Dvivida is a brother of Maindha. According to the Ramayana, he, along with Hanuman, Jambavan, Sugriva, and many others help the god Rama and his brother Lakshmana in defeating Ravana. His friend was Narakasura. In the Dvapara Yuga, before his death, he had arrested even the powerful Hanuman. He and his brother Maindha was defeated by Sahadeva in a 7 day war.He was also a ally of paundrak vasudev and was against lord krishna.He was killed by Balarama as he had assaulted people of aristocracy.
