Cole signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2017.[2] On October 1, 2017, Cole recorded his first NFL interception and returned it for a touchdown in a 57-14 home win over the Tennessee Titans. He also recorded his first career sack as well.[3] On October 15, 2017, Cole made his second career interception in the game against the Cleveland Browns. However, he injured his hamstring in the process of making the interception and had to be carried off the field.[4]

On April 6, 2020, Cole was re-signed to a one-year, $2.133 million contract. He was placed on the active/physically unable to perform list at the start of training camp on July 31, 2020.[8] He was moved back to the active roster on August 16.[9] He was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list by the team on November 5,[10] and activated five days later.[11] He was placed on injured reserve on November 14, 2020 with a back injury.[12]

Tennessee Titans[]
