E. V. Saroja (1935 - 2006) was a Tamil and Telugu actress and dancer. She was born on 3 November 1935 as Engan V. Saroja.[1] She belonged to Engan village of Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu.[citation needed]
Her debut film was En Thangai in 1952 starring M. G. Ramachandran. She played the role of a blind girl.
She acted in about 70 films with other top-ranking stars of Tamil and Telugu film industry like Gemini Ganesan and Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Her mother tongue is Tamil.[citation needed]

Personal life[]
Her brother is E. V. Rajan, with whom she established E.V.R. Pictures.[citation needed] They produced a few films like Koduthuvaithaval (starring MGR as hero) and Thanga Surangam (Sivaji Ganesan as hero).
Death[]
She died of heart failure in Chennai on Friday 3 November 2006.[3]
