East Rocky Hill is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located in Franklin Township, in Somerset County, New Jersey, United States.[5][6][7] As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 469.[4]

According to the United States Census Bureau, East Rocky Hill had a total area of 4.252 square miles (11.014 km2), including 4.165 square miles (10.788 km2) of land and 0.087 square miles (0.226 km2) of water (2.05%).[1][2]

Census 2010[]

The 2010 United States census counted 469 people, 160 households, and 115 families in the CDP. The population density was 112.6 per square mile (43.5/km2). There were 172 housing units at an average density of 41.3 per square mile (15.9/km2). The racial makeup was 74.20% (348) White, 7.68% (36) Black or African American, 0.00% (0) Native American, 7.04% (33) Asian, 0.00% (0) Pacific Islander, 8.96% (42) from other races, and 2.13% (10) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 15.57% (73) of the population.[4]

Of the 160 households, 30.0% had children under the age of 18; 64.4% were married couples living together; 4.4% had a female householder with no husband present and 28.1% were non-families. Of all households, 22.5% were made up of individuals and 8.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.93 and the average family size was 3.39.[4]

26.4% of the population were under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 22.2% from 25 to 44, 29.6% from 45 to 64, and 14.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40.6 years. For every 100 females, the population had 110.3 males. For every 100 females ages 18 and older there were 100.6 males.[4]
