Edwin Bacay

Edwin "Win" Bacay (Born November 26, 1955) dubbed as "The Fresh Option"; he is an aspiring politician aiming for a seat in the 17th Congress. Previously, he is a Law Enforcer of Land Preservation Office[1] in Clark Development Corporation in Clarkfield, Pampanga, Philippines, implementing demolition orders and battling informal settlers, from 1995 until 2014. Bacay received more than 40 commendations and appreciations award; then, considered as one of the utmost awarded employee in the Corporation.

Edwin Bacay has been noted to be the first aspiring Congress Representative with the most minimal expenditures in his district-wide full blast campaign. It was due to the overwhelming urban poor grass-root volunteers and supporters, providing free-assistance in his campaign. He will be challenging the incumbent 1st District Congressman Joseller "Yeng" Guaio and Carmelo "Jonjon Lazatin", son of former 15th Congress 1st District Representative Carmelo F. Lazatin, this coming May 2016 election. Among his famous political slogans are "Dapat Walang Iskwater sa Sariling Bayan." ("You should not be landless in your own country.") and "Dapat Walang Mahirap sa Mayamang Bansa" ("There should be no poor in a land rich with natural resources."); inviting political critics to tag him as "The Impossible Dreamer".

Early life[]

Edwin Bacay is the third son of Amado Bacay (Deceased), a farmer/fisherman in a modest village of Barrio Lucap, Alaminos, Pangasinan and Gloria Onia (Deceased) a domestic fish vendor. At an early stage of life, Bacay learned the value of hard work in order to survive. During his primary and secondary school days, he was a consistent honor student, a student leader and the President of the Supreme Student Council of Royal Carpenter Academy in his hometown. Edwin Bacay is a Political Science Alumnus of Great Plebeian College in Alaminos, Pangasinan.
