Ee Nadu is a 1982 Indian Malayalam-language political film directed by I. V. Sasi, written by T. Damodaran, and starring Balan K. Nair, Ratheesh, Mammootty and T. G. Ravi.[1][2] The film was remade in Telugu with the same name.[3] It was also remade in Hindi as Yeh Desh and in Tamil as .[4]

Plot[]

Spurious liquor supplied by governmental arrack outlets kills several poor people in Kerala. People hit the streets to demand justice. They want the culprits to be brought to book.

This film was loosely based on a liquor poisoning mishap occurred in Vypeen Kerala India Known as Vypeen alcohol poisonings in 1982 claiming 77 lives

The film was the highest grossing South Indian film at that time.[5] The film was commercial success.[6][7][8]
