Effurun is a neighborhood that serves as the headquarters of Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. It is highly populated and is now conjoined with Warri City. The Petroleum Training Institute is known to be located in Effurun, as well as the Federal University of Petroleum Resources. In December 2015, a pipeline belonging to the pipeline belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation exploded in Effurun.[1] Ejoor Barracks in Effurun is named after Major General David Ejoor, the former Chief of Army Staff.[2]
