Eien no 831 (Japanese: 永遠の831) is an original Japanese anime television special directed and written by Kenji Kamiyama and produced by Craftar. It premiered on television in January 2022 on Wowow and will also premiere in theaters in March 2022.

Production and release[]

The special was announced on August 3, 2021, to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the special's network, Wowow.[3] It is directed and written by Kenji Kamiyama and produced by Craftar.[4] Go Shiina composed the music. The special premiered on Wowow on January 30, 2022.[5] The special's main theme is "Hitohira no Mirai" performed by angela, while the opening theme is "Kingyo Bachi", performed by  [ja].[6] After the television premiere, it was announced that the special will also premiere in Japanese theaters on March 18, 2022.[7]
