Eleleis is a monotypic genus of South African ground spiders containing the single species, Eleleis crinita. It was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1893,[2] and is only found in South Africa.[1] Originally placed with the long-spinneret ground spiders, it was transferred to the ground spiders in 2018.[3]
