Eliminators is a 2016 American action thriller film directed by James Nunn. The direct-to-video film stars Scott Adkins, Wade Barrett, Daniel Caltagirone and James Cosmo. Eliminators was produced and released by WWE Studios. Adkins plays a former U.S. Federal agent in witness protection, being tracked by a deadly contract killer played by Bennett (perhaps better known as WWE wrestler Wade Barrett).

Plot[]

Former U.S. federal agent Thomas McKenzie, now using the name Martin Parker, is living in London under witness protection with his eight-year-old daughter, Carly. Thomas had worked undercover inside the crime syndicate of American arms dealer Charles Cooper, where he fell in love and married Cooper's daughter, who was soon killed in a car bombing. Since then, Cooper blamed Thomas for the tragedy and wants to kill him as well as meet his granddaughter.

One night, three armed burglars with the wrong address break into their London home looking for cocaine. After a brutal fight, and with a gun pointed at Thomas and a knife to Carly's neck, Thomas takes the gun and kills the burglars. He calls U.S. Embassy colleague Gail Callister before passing out due to a head wound.

Thomas wakes handcuffed in his hospital bed, charged with murder and with his face all over the news. Carly has been taken to Kavendish Place, Child Social Services, where she is placed in the care of Stacy. Cooper, having learned that Thomas and Carly are in London, contacts British hitman George "Bishop" Edwards just as the latter completes his latest assignment; Cooper orders Bishop to kill Thomas and bring him Carly.

Thomas' old friend, Ray Monroe, calls to explain that he is on a flight from the U.S. and will arrive in two hours to sort out the witness protection status with the British authorities, as Callister and the U.S. Embassy are having trouble handling the situation. Worried about Carly and left with no other choice, Thomas engages in a brutal fight with three policemen and escapes from the hospital. He finds Bishop trying to hack a database at Kavendish Place, where moments ago Bishop had just killed Stacey's boss not long after Stacey and Carly had left the area.

At first Thomas believes Bishop is a care worker, but then notices signs that Bishop is an assassin and also covertly discovers the corpse of Stacey's boss. When Bishop realizes that his cover is blown, he attempts to shoot Thomas and chases him down - killing another care worker in the process. As Bishop tries to find him, Thomas manages to get the location of Carly and escapes in a taxi just before Bishop can stop him. Bishop, with sophisticated computer systems in his car, tracks down the taxi, calls the driver, and tricks him into believing that his fare is incredibly dangerous before advising him to pull over at a petrol station. Bishop arrives seconds later, posing as a police officer investigating Thomas, but finds Thomas nowhere in sight.

Playing back the petrol station's surveillance system, Bishop sees that Thomas got on the back of a truck, and Bishop again uses his computers to track the vehicle. Thomas reaches a cable car terminal and enters a gondola before Bishop can stop him. Bishop hollers to two thugs in the gondola that he will pay them £10,000 to knock out Thomas. Thomas knocks them out in a brutal fight, then borrows a cellphone from an innocent passenger. He is able to call Ray, who meets him at the cable car terminal across the Thames. Bishop drives up and shoots Thomas in the abdomen as he jumps into Ray's car.

They arrive at a safe house, an apartment suite, where Ray cleans the bullet wound. Elsewhere, Bishop assassinates the police detective in charge of investigating Thomas' activity. Bishop soon tracks Thomas and Ray down at their safehouse. He confronts them in a gunfight, blows out a wall to take advantage of the shootout, and shoots Ray as he and Thomas leave the safehouse. Despite Thomas' efforts to keep his friend alive, Ray dies en route away from the safehouse.

Bishop subsequently tracks down Thomas once more, but Thomas - having anticipated this - holds Bishop at gunpoint in the back seat of his car whilst the latter tries to find him. Thomas forces Bishop to drive them to a dock, where Thomas ties Bishop's hands and starts to question him about Carly and Cooper. However, Bishop frees himself and engages in a brutal fight with Thomas. Both are evenly matched until Thomas ends up knocking Bishop into the water. He then takes Bishop's car to get to Carly, but Bishop reemerges and hijacks another car to go after him.

Callister eventually manages to sort out the situation with the British authorities, and an embassy protection team arrive at Carly's location. Before they can leave, Cooper arrives with his assistant Hannah and three bodyguards; they kill the protection team and Hannah shoots Stacy dead. Cooper finds Carly and explains that he is her grandfather whilst also claiming to love her dearly. Thomas arrives and kills the bodyguards, only to be attacked by Bishop on his way to the house. Bishop initially gains the upper hand in another confrontation, but Thomas ultimately kicks his opponent onto a pickaxe, finally killing Bishop.

Thomas then enters the house, confronting Hannah and Cooper at gunpoint. After a tense standoff, Thomas shoots Hannah dead and mortally wounds Cooper by throwing a knife in the abdomen. Cooper tries to finish off Thomas as Carly embraces her father, but Carly comes to Thomas' defense and they watch as Cooper succumbs to the injuries and dies in front of them. Thomas and Carly again embrace, safely reunited with each other.
