Elisenheim

Elisenheim is a residential area north of Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. It was declared a township in December 2011 when the first building plans for houses were submitted to the City of Windhoek, and infrastructure such as roads, sewerage, and electricity installations has been put in place.[1]

The development of Elisenheim was estimated to cost more than a billion N$ in total, making it the largest residential project in Namibia.[1]  [de] is the property developer for this area. The total size of the land acquired is 1,186 hectares, of which 628 hectares is earmarked for residential, commercial, business, institutional and educational purposes while 558 hectares, known as the Nature Estate is held in reserve, for future development. The residential area consists of 21 extensions, which will be developed in 13 phases.
