Elma Kenechukwu Mbadiwe is a Nigerian actress popularly known as Elma Mbadiwe.[1]

Biography[]

Elma is an Imo State born actress who celebrates her birthday on January 28, of each year.[1] She is from Imo State, Nigeria.

Education[]

Elma obtained a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from The Redeemer’s University Nigeria, Ede, Osun State. She also has a diploma in Acting for Screen from Royal Arts Academy, Surulere, Lagos.[2]

Career[]

Before Elma delved into acting, she worked as a writer at consolidated media; the media house for SoundCity. She also worked in the production department.[3]

Elma’s acting career started in 2016 and her first movie was The Audition.[4] [3] Elma's role in Unbroken where she played the lead role as Talullah brought her to limelight because of the attention she got from fans.[5][2] Elma also featured as Laraba in E.V.E.[6] and both movies were produced by African Magic Production.[1] She has starred alongside other Nollywood actors in movies such as, Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story, Dysfunction, amongst others.[4]

Accolades[]

Elma Mbadiwe was nominated for Best Upcoming Actress during the 2018 edition of the Best of Nollywood Awards. The nomination was due to the role she played in the LBGT movie We Don’t Live Here Anymore which had 11 nominations.[15]
