Elymus farctus is a species of grass known by the common name sand couch-grass. It is found in Europe and temperate Asia, and grows from rhizomes.[2]

A relative of wheat, E. farctus is salt-tolerant. A hybridization of the two creates a salt-tolerant wheat variety.[3][4]
