Elyzabeth Purwaningtyas (born 23 March 1993) is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with SGS PLN Bandung club.[1]
Career[]
Purwaningtyas contested in her first ever international tournament at the Indonesian International Challenge in 2009, where she lost in the quarterfinals to Nitchaon Jindapol in 3 games.[2] At the 2011 Asian Junior Badminton Championships, she was ousted in the quarterfinals by China's Shen Yaying. Her career's biggest achievement came when she reached the final of the 2011 BWF World Junior Championships by beating Carolina Marín in the semifinal. However she had to settle with the silver medal after losing the final to Ratchanok Intanon with 6–21, 21–18, 13–21. At the 2013 Indonesian Masters Grand Prix Gold she was in the round of the last 16 of the women's singles where she lost the match to China's Suo Di. In the 2014 Indonesian Masters Grand Prix Gold, she was a semifinalist where she lost to her teammate Adriyanti Firdasari.
