Enchanted Forest (Rhode Island)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Enchanted Forest was a fairy tale-themed amusement park that opened in 1971 in Hope Valley, Hopkinton, Rhode Island. Throughout its lifetime, it was mainly oriented to younger children and families. The park contained rides such as a child-sized roller coaster, bumper cars, and a merry go round, as well as having a live petting zoo. The Enchanted Forest was closed in 2005 due to low money flow. Some of the rides were sold to Edaville, including the coaster.[citation needed] As of 2021, all that remains of the park is the park's degraded main sign by the road (although the Humpty Dumpty figure that used to sit on it was stolen years ago), a couple of half-collapsed barn buildings and the overgrown go-kart track. The rest of the property has long regrown into a forested woodland.
