Enforcement (Danish: Shorta) is a 2020 Danish crime action film[1] directed by Frederik Louis Hviid and Anders Ølholm. The story is about 19-year-old Talib Ben Hassi's life hangs in the balance. What exactly happened while he was in police custody remains uncertain. Two officers, Jens and Mike, are on a routine patrol in the Svalegården ghetto when the news of Talib's death comes, and an untamed rage among the young people leads to rebellion and a demand for revenge. Suddenly, the two officers have been hunted wild, and have to fight for their lives to get out.

Production[]

Shorta is an Arabic word for police.[2]

Reception[]

Joe Morgenstern found the physical action "more compelling than the superheated plot".[3] Variety's Peter Debruge praised the film as "gripping" and a "smart, nonstop thriller".[2] Simon Abrams rated the film one and a half stars out of five in his review for RogerEbert.com.[4]
