Engal Thanga Raja (transl. Our precious king) is a 1973 Indian Tamil-language film, directed and produced by V. B. Rajendra Prasad.[1][2] The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Manjula and Sowcar Janaki. The film had musical score by K. V. Mahadevan.[3] The film was a remake of the 1972 Telugu film Manavudu Danavudu. It is loosely adapted from the 1886 novel Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson.[4]
