The local assembly of bishops is the Episcopal Conference of Mozambique (Portuguese: Conferencia Episcopal de Moçambique, CEM). The ECM is a member of the (IMBISA) and Symposium of Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar (SECAM).
