Erblichia is a monotypic genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Passifloraceae. The only species is Erblichia odorata.[1]
Its native range is Mexico to Central America, it is found in the countries of; Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Panamá.[1]
The genus name is in honour of Ch. Erblich, a German court garden-master in Hannover,[2] it was first described and published in Bot. Voy. Herald on page 130 in 1854.[1]
