A Ergänzungs-Jagdgeschwader (EJG) was a Luftwaffe replacement training unit which was part of a larger operational Jagdgeschwader. The Germans were sometimes forced to undertake operations and training simultaneously. Its commanders included Viktor Bauer and Werner Andres.[citation needed]
