Erik Blegvad (Danish pronunciation: [ˈb̥lɑjˌvæːð]; 3 March 1923 – 14 January 2014) was a British illustrator of the various books, including The Winter Bear and The Borrowers. He died on 14 January 2014 at the age of 90, which was confirmed by his son Peter because it wasn't widely reported.[1]
