Eubranchus rustyus, the homely aeolid,[2] is a species of sea slug or nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Eubranchidae.[3]

Distribution[]

This species was described from Monterey Bay,

36°36′20″N 121°53′04″W / 36.60556°N 121.88444°W / 36.60556; -121.88444, California. It is considered by most authors to be a synonym of Eubranchus occidentalis.[4]

Biology[]

This nudibranch feeds on the hydroids Obelia and Plumularia.[4][5]
