The European Renal Association – European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA) is an organisation for clinicians and scientists in nephrology, dialysis, renal transplantation and related areas.

The organisation publishes two scientific journals, NDT - Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation[1] and CKJ - Clinical Kidney Journal,[2] a newsletter, Follow Us,[3] and an online newsletter, ERA-EDTA Flash.[4] It has an educational website, NDT-Educational,[5] an Educational Online Portal, the European Nephrology Portal (ENP) and holds an annual congress in a different European city each year.[6]

The organisation publishes two scientific journals, NDT - Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation [7] and CKJ - Clinical Kidney Journal [8] There are several Working Groups established to enhance education and science within a specific area.[9] In 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, The ERACODA working group was founded to ensure rapid dissemination of information pertaining to COVID-19.

An annual congress is held in May or June. Until 2020, this was always an in-person meeting attended by approximately 7000 delegates.[10] For the first time, the 57th annual congress was held as a fully virtual event; the first of the major Nephrology congresses to do so.[11] The The 2021 Berlin Congress is expected to run as a hybrid event.[12]
