Football Club Tofaga is a Tuvalu football club from Vaitupu, playing in the Tuvalu A-Division.

The team's home ground is the Tuvalu Sports Ground, the only football field in Tuvalu. Tofaga is an amateur team and one of the best clubs on the islands. The team also has a reserve team and a women's team.

History[]

Tofaga was formed in 1980. Two decades later, Paulson Panapa (TNFA chairman) and Tapugao Falefou (former chairman of TNFA) played for the team in its first cup win in 1997, captained , the . In 1998, they also won the Independence Cup captained by Tavita Etuati. Both times the team was managed by Salesi Safega.

Eight years later, managed by Toakai Puapua, Tofaga won the NBT and the Independence Cup. Since 2006, Tofaga has won the NBT cup in 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2012. Toakai Puapua was the Manager for the winning teams in NBT Cup 2006 and 2007. Paulson Panapa was the Manager for the winning team for NBT Cup 2008.

Loisio Samuelu captained the 2006 Independence Cup team and NBT Cup teams from 2006–2008. He captained the Tofaga A from 2006 until after the 2010 Tuvalu Games Football when he stopped playing because of injury.

Mati Fusi, Viliamu Sekifu and Paitela Kelemene were top scorers between 2006 and 2008 respectively.

Tofaga, managed by Isala T. Isala won three cups in on 2010. Isala was the manager for the NBT Cup team that won in 2011 and also the 2012 NBT Cup team. In 2014 he coached the team during the TNPF league and the team was runner up.

The finals of the 2012 NBT cup managed by Scott Leti. He took over the manager role for the Division A and Division B teams during the finals and won both the NBT Cup A & B Divisions in 2012. Scott later went on to win the 2012 Independence Cup Division A and was manager for the Tofaga A that was runner up for the Christmas Cup 2012.

The team for the 2011 and 2012 NBT Cups were captained by Uota Ale, in 2012 Uota was injured and James Lepaio (Vice Captain) took over the captaincy role during the finals. The winning team in 2012 Independence Cup was captained by Alopua Petoa and during the finals George Panapa took over the captaincy role as Alopua had to travel to Fiji then Holland.

Akeimo Paulson managed the team that won the 2012 Tuvalu Games cup, captained by Etimoni Timuani.

In 2013 Akeimo Paulson coached the Tofaga A which was runner up team for the TNPF league tournament 2013. He and the Tofaga A later successfully defender the Tuvalu Games 2013 football tournament. Tofaga A won the Tuvalu Games finals 2013.

Mati Fusi -managed the team for the NBT Cup 2013 (Tofaga A runner in the finals), and later Mati (Manager) and the Tofaga A won the next tournament which was the 2013 Independence Cup finals.

Akeimo Paulson and Tapugao Falefou have equaled the Tofaga A record for managers in the TNPF league without having lost any games in the TNPF league. The TNPF League is the only tournament Tofaga A has never won in Tuvalu, but have in the span of last 4 years been runner up to the winner on total points.

Sinileta Falesa coached the Tofaga A in 2015 and won the Independence Cup tournament.

Since 2016 the Tofaga A team has been coached by Taukiei Ituaso.
